Daring Ventures has a steady backlog of work that nobody on the deal team has time to do. Motivated high school students, given a real brief, are surprisingly good at doing it. Summer Studio is what we built around that observation.

I run Summer Studio personally. I'm a GP at Daring Ventures, a generalist preseed fund. Before venture, I was an investment banker at Lazard. Before Lazard, I was at Columbia. Before Columbia, I failed out of community college more than once.
That path is the reason this program exists. The people who gave me real things to do, and trusted me to figure them out, did more for me than any pre-college program ever could. I've spent over a decade trying to do that for students who get overlooked.
Summer Studio is the next version of that work. Every weekly check-in is me. Every project brief is me. Every piece of feedback is mine. Not a TA, not a mentor marketplace, not a platform. One operator, a small number of students, real work.
